To Piari and the team at Koonyum. What can we say but our wedding at Koonyum Range Retreat was the most amazing experience for us and our guests. Our wedding day started with the ceremony on the deck in the sunshine with the most amazing view as a backdrop, followed by photo's around the property. We were so happy we didn't have to leave the venue to have the most amazing photo's taken in your own backyard. At one stage of the day all of our guests were in a cloud...literally! It soon cleared and we were greeted with that beautiful view again. All of the staff at Koonyum went out of their way to make our day as stress free and enjoyable as possible. We woke up the following morning in our villa to the spectacular view and a scrumptious breakfast hamper. We would definitely recommend Koonyum to anyone looking to get married in this region. It really was the most beautiful day.

My sisters and I were looking for a memorable overnight stay during our stay up around Byron Bay, and we were not disappointed with our choice of where to spend this night. The spectacular views and the sunrise to greet you in the morning is not something that will ever be forgotten.

Where you can see the days first light from your cosy bed. Where you feel like you are suspended over the valley, with the smell of eucalypt, the call of the kookaburra and the bubbling hot tub compelling you to let go of your worries. We’ll be back for more of that. Thanks. It was perfect.

Breathtaking views greeted us on our arrival. We thoroughly enjoyed our quiet time in the eagles nest, and the best food. The hosts were extremely considerate and forthcoming.

The views are to die for! The spa with a view is pure heaven! Waking up with a view of the sun rising over the ocean is amazing! Sitting in front of the fire with a wine while listening to music was so romantic! The double massage we received was sooooooo relaxing! The bed & sheets were super comfy! The villa was stunning with high quality finishes & gorgeous use of timber!
We have never been so relaxed and can't wait to come back in summer to try out the gorgeous infinity pool.

My Husband and I were recently married at Koonyum Range Retreat. We would like to express our gratitude for the amazing time we had in the peaceful hills of Byron hinterland. Thank you to Piari for her wonderful hospitality and positivity while accommodating our wedding ceremony and party. It was such a magical place to get married and we were truly blessed to be able to share it with all our friends and family.

We stayed in the Koonyum Villa with our 4 year old daughter the weekend before Valentines Day and what a weekend we had. Its not often that you stay somewhere that is so nice that you dont mind just staying there and experiencing it. From the hot tub on the deck with the sweeping views of the range out to the sea, to its cosy layout and those little touches that make a stay that much more memorable. And the hosts are fantastic as well
We are already planning a winter weekend at Koonyum so we can see how beautiful it is in the winter which we are sure will be fantastic as well

What an amazing time we had in Nov for four nights......we lived in complete five star luxury. The villa was spectacular, everything we expected. Thank-you to you both for making our experience truly relaxing, nothing was too much trouble......you regularly checked that we were satisfied and in need of anything......and all this done with a friendly smile. If you’re looking for a private break with a unique location, this is it!! We both thank you again and we will be seeing you soon!!!

Our stay at Koonyum was truly amazing. We came with high expectations and they were certainly exceeded. The Villa had an uninterrupted phenomenal view of the valley and the ocean, which we never wished to leave. The amenities supplied by Piari and Miki meant that we could maximise every moment of this little piece of heaven, as we did not need to leave often. We could not have asked for a better place to spend our peaceful getaway that we had desired. We would go back in a heartbeat. Thank you so much.

My wife Emma and I have been coming to Koonyum for about 5 years now. And no wonder, their place is soo beautiful, panoramic and private. The villas are really well designed, to capture the surrounding views of countryside, national park and ocean. Add spa bath, kitchen, BBQ, etc and you have yourself a fantastic location for watching the world around you, and being totally private.

Also, we have grown to know Piari and Micky over the years, listening to their stories, as they've listened to ours. It's nice to know the people whose place you're actually staying in...Makes the experience een more personal.

I imagine we'll be coming back for years to come!

We had a wonderful, relaxing and magical stay at Koonyum Range Retreat. We were lucky enough to have our elopement ceremony by the Balinese gaebo, overlooking the magnificent view and then enjoy our first few days as a married couple in this gorgeous place. Such a peaceful environment to wake up in, we loved The Edge and the 360 views from the upstairs bedroom and also the verandah. The breakfast provisions in the chalet were scrumptious! Piari, I stayed at Koonyum in the Lotus Room in early June 2010 looking for a memorable experience. Koonyum provided this and so much more.
Your attention to detail and personal attendance was exceptional. The focus on seclusion and privacy was perfect. Everything was tres bon as they say in France. Koonyum was so delicious I did not want to tell anyone about it, but I must, everyone should experience this true delight. I will return.

What a wonderful find! 3 nights of total peace and tranquility. We found the place perfect- from watching the beautiful eagle from the swinging chair to our suchi meal on our first night. To our wonderful hosts, Whow hould have thought that at the end of a little gravel raod would be such a special hexagonal '93hut'94 that would give us both so many great memeories! Our goal of recharging our batteries had definity been realized and it was all the extras that you offer-sushi donner delivered to our door, private yoga lesson on the veranda and massage on arrival- that did such a wonderful job of looking after us. It was perfect you are so good at what you do dont change a thing.

My husband and I stayed at Koonyum for our Honeymoon a few years ago. I still visit this website to look at the gallery and reminisce about the fantastic time away we had. The views were breathtaking, especially from the spa on the balcony at sundown. We were left to ourselves, and yet treated like royalty, finding fresh breakfast on our doorstep in the early morning. We set out looking for a unique place to celebrate our marriage, where we weren't one of thousand guests in some chain hotel. The owners at Koonyum knew our names and we felt extremely special, knowing that we had the entire place to ourselves and nobody could hear us for quite some distance (hehehe...). One day when the kids grow up a bit we will visit again and enjoy the luxury and romance that embodies Koonyum. Thankyou so much guys, you are so appreciated, even years down the track.

'The Edge' Chalet is a perfect location for anyone looking to creep away for a memorable evening. The views from the bed and spa are spectacular. We'll be back for a little more business for sure.
